Pay through AWS Marketplace

An AWS Marketplace agreement places LakeSail usage on one AWS account's bill. AWS handles the agreement, invoice, and payment. You need the LakeSail Owner or Billing Admin role and permission to subscribe in AWS Marketplace.

Subscribe through AWS Marketplace

1. Open Settings → Billing.
2. Click AWS Marketplace. If billing already exists, use Add a billing source → Add another AWS account.
3. Review the LakeSail listing and subscribe.
4. Follow the account setup link back to LakeSail and sign in if prompted.
5. Confirm the LakeSail organization, then click Confirm registration.
6. Wait for Pending to become Active.

If registration expires, start again from the AWS Marketplace listing.

One agreement per AWS account

Each AWS account needs its own agreement.

LakeSail links subscriptions and cloud accounts automatically by AWS account ID:

• Existing cloud accounts link when the subscription becomes Active.
• New cloud accounts link when their connection is verified.
• With Stripe, AWS agreements cover their matching accounts and Stripe covers the rest.

No manual subscription ID or agreement ID is required.

Review usage and invoices

• View metering opens LakeSail's usage windows, totals, and workload details.
• Manage subscription opens the AWS Marketplace subscriptions page.

LakeSail reports usage to AWS hourly. Billed amount shows accepted charges for the selected range. AWS includes them on your monthly AWS bill but does not provide the billing-period dates to LakeSail.

Set a budget alert

AWS Budgets can alert you when LakeSail Marketplace charges reach a set amount:

1. Open AWS Billing and Cost Management → Budgets and create a cost budget.
2. Set the amount and period.
3. Under filters, choose AWS Marketplace for Billing entity and LakeSail for Service.
4. Add an email or Amazon SNS alert.

AWS Budgets does not cap usage or stop LakeSail workloads. AWS updates budget data up to three times a day, so charges can exceed the alert amount before AWS notifies you. See Managing your costs with AWS Budgets.

Add another AWS account

1. Open Settings → Billing.
2. Open Add a billing source → Add another AWS account.
3. Subscribe from that account and complete Confirm registration.

The Billing page keeps a separate subscription card and metering history for each agreement.

End or restore an agreement

Use Manage subscription to make changes in AWS. When an agreement ends, LakeSail shows Unsubscribed and keeps historical metering. To restore billing, click Resubscribe on AWS Marketplace and register the new agreement with the same organization.
